Yamari Ochre Indigenous Sign company exhibits at Visual Impact

Adding to the Indigenous flavour of this year's Visual Impact Expo was Yamari Ochre, a Taren Poiny, NSW based sign production company owned and operated by Aboriginal people. Offering a wide range of signage, workwear and promional items, the company is 'Supply Nation Certified.'

Numbers confirm Visual Impact Sydney success

Almost 4,000 people were clocked through the doors at the Sydney sign, display and wide-format print expo, with 936 of those from exhibitor teams. Total sales will run into millions of dollars, says organiser Visual Connections.

Industry supplier Starleaton is not sitting on the sidelines regarding this, announcing 'Jump Start' at Visual Impact last week. Jump Start is a programme that finds candidates, places them with employers and Starleaton pays for the training.

Agfa boosts Jeti Tauro with new roll-to-roll module

Memjet opens ink manufacturing plant in Sydney

With the Coronation of King Charles III, it occured to me to look back in the family archives to discover my grandfather's invitation to the last Coronation - that of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Having received an invitation (actually a 'command') to attend King Charles's, I thought it interesting to compare the graphic design of 1953 to 2023. Typography, use of colour, style, all have changed apart from the calligraphy, which appears to be the same.

Wilenco sells over 10 Rollover applicators at VI, Orafol installs another one
