Kodak unveiled the KODAK PROSPER 7000 Turbo Press, a full-colour perfector, at its inkjet facility in Dayton, Ohio. Kodak's new inkjet web press uses Stream Inkjet Technology, offering printing speeds of up to 410 linear mpm or up to 5,523 A4 ppm, which the company claims is almost 35% faster than its nearest competitor. Although a major offset plate supplier, Kodak sees a shift in more long run jobs from conventional printing processes to inkjet.

Industrial printer shipments declined 2.1% year over year in the first quarter of 2022 (1Q22), as the market faced a range of supply chain issues, according to new data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Industrial Printer Tracker. Fujifilm has signed an agreement to acquire Unigraphica AG (head office in Ruggell, Principality of Liechtenstein), a system integrator that specialises in providing customized inkjet printing systems. The company will be renamed Fujifilm Unigraphica AG from July 1st.
