Mutoh has won the prestigious 2024 EDP Award for best 'direct-to-shape (object) printer - the XpertJet 1462UF. Australia was an early adopter of this model with initial short supply the main issue in fulfilling demand. All products submitted for the EDP AWARDS 2024 were extensively reviewed and evaluated by EDP's TECHNICAL COMMITTEE. From the products and solutions submitted, the jury first identified the finalists, from which the winners of an EDP Award in their respective category were selected. The Mutoh XpertJet 1462UF is a 6-colour (C, M, Y, K, Wh, Va) UV LED flatbed printer with a movable beam delivery system (gantry) and an impressive bed size of 1420 mm x 700 mm. It can print on objects up to 150 mm thick. The 1462UF has a robust chassis and a 4-zone magnetic vacuum bed that can support weights of up to 50 kg/m².

The Mutoh XpertJet 1462UF flatbed printer prints in 4 colours white and varnish (C, M, Y, K, Wh, Va). With a table size of 1420mm x 700mm and height adjustment up to 150mm, this printer is more versatile than usual in this category. The 1462UF can print on objects up to 150 mm thick and has a 4-zone magnetic vacuum bed that can support weights of up to 50 kg/m².
This makes the XPJ-1462 UF an attractive solution for screen printers looking to expand into digital direct-to-object printing, as well as for industrial printers looking for more versatility and colour.
