X-Rite, a Veralto Inc. company, has acquired Netherlands - headquartered Colorware B.V., the creators of MeasureColor, expanding comprehensive colour management for brand managers, pre-media, printing and packaging companies.
X-Rite Incorporated has announced the acquisition of Dutch company Colorware B.V., a leader in converter-friendly colour management software solutions for the production of printed goods and packaging. Colorware’s flagship product, MeasureColor, has built a strong reputation in serving print production needs for both print producers and print buyers simplifying color quality control processes and workflows.
The strategic acquisition of Colorware will extend X-Rite’s ability to provide real-time colour management solutions for converters, printers, and packaging specialists, allowing for more efficient and accurate colour management.
By bringing Colorware’s expertise and solutions into X-Rite, X-Rite says it can better serve its customers with seamless, end-to-end colour management offerings.
As the packaging printing industry continues the path to digitization, mostly using inkjet engines, and workflow automation, MeasureColor’s feature-rich, user-friendly interface creates a complimentary offering for converters and brands alike. With over 3,500 existing licences worldwide, it empowers printers and packaging converters to achieve lower costs through real-time colour control at the press, while reporting conformance and quality to brand customers. The acquisition will enable X-Rite to offer a complete, integrated solution that combines its highly-regarded hardware and software with Colorware’s specialized colour management technology, designed specifically to meet the needs of printing and packaging converters.
