We have covered the new ORAFOL Hall 10 ultra-high-technology production expansion since it was announced in 2022 and the first stone was laid; now it has become a reality at the Orafol headquarters in Oranienburg, Germany and is in trial operational action.

Orafol head of communications, Elke Buene reports:

CEO Dr. Holger Loclair said of the H10 project: "It's a dream come true." This was the motto of the first laying of the foundation stone when Orafol began construction of the plant in 1995, at the Oranienburg Industrial Park North. The old location in the former Walter-Küchenmeister-Straße had become too small to ensure the necessary performance development.

The success of the previous financial year gave Orafol the opportunity to build anew, implement its visions, and shape its future through independent actions. This was extraordinary, only a few years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, dividing in East and West Germany.

Numerous former GDR industrial companies were simply being wound up and the competition seemed overpowering, but Orafol persisted. Combined with a highly committed team, this strategy has led and continues to lead to the success of realising Orafol's dreams."

Graphic and solar control films are expanding demand businesses and Orafol is more than equipped to supply the growing demand in the most sustainable way, with superbly engineered products.

Orafol recently acquired a stake in Belgian advanced solar film company, M.A.M Holdings.
