One clear trend percolating through PacPrint 2025 is the explosion of ready-to-press Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers. In what the company says might be its only investment off the stands of PacPrint 2025, the Nankervis brothers (CEO Dayne and brother Shannon) came to the Kissel + Wolf Australia stand C76 to purchase an AGP DTF-T653, in a first ‘bold’ step to expand its specialty print capabilities by being able to offer ready-to-press Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfer.

“Many of our trade customers are already geared up for apparel decoration—they have the heat presses but haven’t made the leap to DTF printing themselves,” says Glen Francis, National Communications Manager at CMYKhub. “With this new service, we’re bridging that gap – giving them the flexibility to print vibrant, full-colour, durable film transfers for various apparel types that they can simply press and sell.”
CMYKhub sees this is an ideal solution for resellers with heat press equipment but without the overhead of owning a DTF printer. The printed film canSOLD! The AGP DTF press, heading for CMYKhub be applied to a wide range of apparel using standard heat presses, enabling resellers to expand their offering with zero capital investment, able to offer turnkey apparel decoration.
The rising power of DTF
The rise and rise of CMYKhub across Australia has been well-documented over the last decade and this move aligns with a current trend towards DTF that is already heavily entrenched in the European market and presents as a growing wave of opportunity at PacPrint 2025, with all the major suppliers pushing new DTF options.
With a print width up to 60cm and a CMYK+RGBO+White ink configuration, applied through 3 Epson I3200-A1 printheads, the AGP DTF-T653 printer accommodates a broad array of garment formats and offers a wide and vibrant colour range, using Caldera DTF RIP software for precision colour control. The printer is also paired with the H650 Pro Powder Shaker, which includes an auto powder recycling system and intelligent touchscreen operation.
Still settling into its huge new operational hub in Melbourne, the new DTF service is likely to come on-line for CMYKhub later this year once they are up and running there. With the Kissel + Wolf Australia team themselves based out of Tullamarine, initial support with the new system is expected to be seamless.
Now with around 150 employees operating across Australia, CMYKhub also intend to use the new AGP DTF-T653 printer to bring its own branded apparel production in-house, enabling them to achieve substantive savings beyond the primary reseller value equation.
