Ricoh has announced the sale of Avanti Computer Systems Ltd. - a Ricoh subsidiary offering Avanti Management Information System (MIS) for the commercial printing industry - to eProductivity Software (fronted by Print ePS), a leading global provider of production software technology for the packaging and print industries.
The Print ePS software portfolio and workflow model is designed to evolve and scales with businesses and the addition of the Avanti capability is seen as a highly complementary extension to this.
Avanti’s print MIS solution centralises all information in printing and sales processes of commercial and in-house printing workflows, enabling customers to increase productivity and improve profit. Linking with Ricoh’s digital printers and print workflow solutions, Avanti has been implemented widely, particularly across the US and UK markets.
The addition of the Avanti capability is a highly complementary extension of Print ePS’ current suite of cloud-based, AI-powered solutions for print businesses, which includes intelligent estimating, scheduling, and data-driven workflow optimization.
“The acquisition of Avanti enhances our ability to meet the growing demand for connected, automated, and highly scalable print MIS platforms tailored to midmarket commercial printers,” says Dan Vertachnik, Print ePS CEO. “We look forward to our continued partnership with Ricoh and to supporting Avanti’s customers going forwards.”
Koji Miyao, President of Ricoh Graphic Communications, adds: “For our part, this sale meets two objectives, in that it further strengthens Ricoh’s long-standing partnership with Print ePS, as well as aligning with our overall strategy to accelerate the transition of our commercial printing customer base from offset to digital.”
