For the 14th consecutive year, Mutoh has found itself on the PRINTING United Alliance Pinnacle Product Award podium, this year recognizing two ValueJet printers and the XpertJet 661UF.

The Pinnacle Product Awards recognize products that improve or advance the printing industry with exceptional contributions to quality, capability, and productivity. Entries are evaluated by a highly qualified panel of judges from across the printing industry in more than 58 categories including analogue, digital, output, and non-output.
For the second consecutive year, the Mutoh ValueJet 2638X 104” Eco-Solvent Printer was announced as the top performer in the Roll-to-Roll Solvent/Latex (over 80”) category. Widely recognised as the fastest printer in its class and price range, the ValueJet 2638X features dual staggered print heads, so presents as a double-CMYK eco-solvent printer, ideal for billboard and banner prints with excellent colour and detail at up to 48 m²/h, and a top speed of over 90 m²/h.
Further down the value chain – in the UV/Latex Hybrid (under $100K) category – the Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH Mark II 64” UV-LED Hybrid Printer took out top honours. This model supports 6 colors (CMYK/White/Varnish) of soft and hard type genuine UV-LED inks, and allows direct printing on a variety of materials, from sheet-type media to roll-type media. Varnish ink reduces the surface unevenness characteristic of UV ink, achieving a glossy and tactile finish.
But perhaps the truest demonstration of Mutoh’s innovative flair is inherent in the Mutoh XpertJet 661UF 19x23” UV-LED Flatbed Printer, which won the Tabletop Flatbed (Industrial/Small Item Decoration) category. This printer deploys unique-to-Mutoh technology, which optimally controls the UV-LED lamp irradiation, allowing users to adjust varnish texture, making it possible to express fine textures and even print Braille. With a single table scan, users can print gloss, semi-gloss, and matte varnishes simultaneously with colour and white, which helps to reduce printing time and improve productivity.
