printIQ, renowned industry specialists in the provision of intelligent MIS solutions for the printing industry, has launched a ‘version 49’ software update to its print management information system, which the company is confident will have ‘an immediate impact on how efficiently customers can manage their operations and grow their businesses’.
John Alden, CEO of printIQ, says: “V49 represents months of development, driven directly by customer feedback and requests from our global community. It shows our continued commitment to addressing the evolving needs of modern print businesses, particularly those dealing with complex inventory management, high-volume distribution, and extensive product catalogues.”
The upgrade includes a new, centralised inventory planning dashboard addresses - one of the most requested features from printIQ's global client base – to provide customers with greater first-hand visibility into their purchasing requirements across all upcoming orders, through a unified view of all required materials and quantities and the ability for smart consolidation of multiple jobs that use the same materials.
Users can filter by specific suppliers to consolidate orders onto single purchase orders, with generated orders automatically linked and viewable within job details.
Another feature of the upgrade is its revamped product catalogue dashboard, which acts as a central hub for managing store items, product range items, single product creation items, and kits. This facilitates direct ordering and acts as a complete repository for customers to view and reorder available items.
The solution is specifically optimised for label printers managing extensive SKU ranges. This feature proves especially valuable for label printers who maintain large inventories of customer-specific products and need efficient reordering systems.
Another feature of the V49 upgrade is its CSV integration for distribution list uploads, which facilitates mass shipping capabilities and addresses the growing need for high-volume distribution management. Users can filter and manage deliveries in batches with ‘Awaiting Distribution’ and ‘Distribution Ready’ status options, processing large-scale distributions more efficiently as they become ready for dispatch.
New inventory status indicators and multiple address support round off the new features of the V49 software upgrade, both designed to enable more real-time capability around inventory management and order distribution.
V49 is now available to all printIQ customers as part of their standard software maintenance agreement.
