Leading global commerce enabler Fortidia - a privately-owned company headquartered in Italy - has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Kwik Kopy Australia (KKA), to further strengthen its presence in the APAC market. The Penfold family will retain a minority stake in KKA and remain actively involved in contributing to the brand’s next phase of growth alongside Fortidia.

The Fortidia Group closed FY2024 with circa USD$1.5bn of System-wide Gross Revenue, generated through its location-based platform made up of over 3,130 Business Solutions centres across 57 different countries, plus circa USD$23bn of Gross Merchandise Value traded through its over 1 million PrestaShop digital ecommerce customers.
Since its founding in 1982, Kwik Kopy Australia has developed a reputation as an industry leader in the Australian design, print, and signage industry, through a network that has steadily grown to include over 85 franchise centres nationwide. Indeed, Stephen Penfold, the original founder of Kwik Kopy Australia, was himself a founding member of Australia’s Franchisee Council and through KKA, the Penfold family has made a significant contribution to Australia’s burgeoning franchise sector.
