Epson has received Keypoint Intelligence’s Scanner Line of the Year 2026 award, which recognises ‘the most outstanding scanner product line offered by a manufacturer, based on a comprehensive assessment of performance, quality, value, and overall capabilities’.

Epson BLi editAt an official presentation held at Seiko Epson Corporation, Junkichi Yoshida, Global President of Epson, accepted the award saying: "We see this award as recognition of our long-standing manufacturing expertise and our commitment to delivering value to customers. It is particularly meaningful for us to receive this award in a milestone year, which marks the 40th anniversary of our scanner business."

Epson introduced its first image scanner, the GT 3000, in 1986. Four decades on and Keypoint Intelligence conducted a broad evaluation of Epson's current scanner portfolio, which includes the DS-800WN, ES-C220, ES-C320W, ES-C380W, ES-400 , ES-580W, DS-32000, DS-1760WN, DS-900WN, RR-400W, DS-C480W, DS-C490 and DS-770. These models represent Epson's diverse scanner lineup, ranging from compact models for home offices and small businesses to high end workgroup scanners designed for high volume environments.

The evaluation highlighted the consistent results delivered across the entire breadth of this lineup, which addresses a wide range of workplace requirements. The scanners were recognised for their ease of use, reliable image quality, and software that complements the hardware, including Epson Open Platform and Arm compatibility.
