Ball & Doggett has entered an ‘in-principle agreement’ to buy Impak Films, one of Australia’s largest suppliers of flexible packaging products. Assuming all goes ahead according to plan, the acquisition is expected to be finalised by the end of October 2025.
Impak Films offers a wide array of flexible packaging film products
Whilst the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, WFO understands that Impak Films will retain its operational independence and existing employees post-acquisition and continue operations from its Tullamarine facility in Victoria.
Impak Films Managing Director, Andy Newman, who co-founded the company in 2005 with Brian Christy, called the deal ‘an exciting next step in Impak Films’ journey, saying: “Ball & Doggett have the resources, people and infrastructure to take the business forward, which will ultimately provide greater value to our customers, suppliers and staff. We are excited about what the future holds.”
Impak Films offers a wide array of flexible packaging film products, including BOPP [biaxially oriented polypropylene], CPP [cast polypropylene], BOPA [biaxially oriented polyamide] and PET [polyethylene terephthalate] films. These films are available in metallised, coated and coextruded forms.
The company also provides lidding films and other specialised packaging solutions tailored for diverse industry applications.
