Expanded capabilities for Fujifilm Revoria Press series

Fujifilm Business Innovation has announced technology updates to its Revoria Press series, which are designed to enhance productivity and expand their capability. The XMF PressReady Lite (a customized version of its original workflow solution, designed to add value to companies that only use one or two presses), the Plockmatic Booklet Maker and the addition of Silver and White specialty toners, to give users the ability to produce a wider, more dynamic colour range.

Taylor moves from small screen to big picture to take reins of oOh!media

To be applauded for its continuity of leadership, Cathy O’Connor, who notified plans for her intention to step down from oOh!media back in April, will remain at the helm until the end of the year. But her successor has now been confirmed as James Taylor, who is currently the managing director of Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), Australia’s multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster. Taylor will take the reins of the Out of Home media company at the start of the new year.

Bumpy ride ahead still for Kodak?

Whilst the Eastman Kodak Company, the iconic printing and imaging company founded in 1880, is pushing back on reports that it may not be in business for that much longer, the company’s second quarter financial report, includes a statement citing ‘substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a going concern’. This statement has sparked concerns about history repeating itself when Kodak was forced to file for bankruptcy protection in 2012, after struggling with increasing competition, continuing growth in digital photography and growing debt.

Print meets art with Mimaki and Metamo

Roland DG hits creative note with Paralym Art wrap

At a special showcase event in Neopasa Hamamatsu in Japan last weekend, a one-of-a-kind digital grand piano, wrapped in artwork by Paralym Art artist Ms. Michiru Kanki, took centre stage. MM Plastics, a division of Metal Manufactures Limited, is a group of specialist plastics and signage businesses which include Graphic Art Mart, Fluoro Pacific, Dotmar Engineering Plastics and Dotmar Injection Moulding. Signarama franchise shows power of Print and Community

136 lives lost, homes destroyed and thousands left with nothing: that’s the legacy of the July flooding disaster in Texas’s central Hill Country. In an effort to help, Signarama San Antonio owners, Matt and Kerry Mattingly, printed a couple of hundred ‘yard’ signs, featuring a QR code that pointed donations to the Community Foundation Texas Hill Country. 6,000 signs and USD$60m later and the emerging legacy is one of community strength and support, powered by simple sign printing.

Strategic ‘acquisition’ sees Orafol with advanced sun protection film

Vivad celebrates 25th in style
